LONG SECURITY LINES

We picked up Jim and Sue and headed towards the airport. We were finally heading out to see the LA Lakers in the playoffs. We were inching along in traffic. It was getting tense. We were sure we were going to be late. We knew all about the long security lines. Tara was getting upset. I could tell she had wanted to leave when we had first decided. We had gotten a call from Jim and Sue and they were running behind, so we had to wait. The short wait they promised turned into a long wait. Finally, Jim called and we were on our way. I got the car running and we raced over to Jim and Sue’s. They were standing outside and waiting. Tara was really getting anxious. We crawled through traffic and got to the airport and then waited in a long security line. The flight was delayed, so we sat wasting even more time. It was very frustrating. Then it started to rain. Finally, the flight began to board and we all climbed on and tried to make ourselves comfortable. It was a jammed flight. I couldn’t believe we were on our way. I was starving, and there was no meal service on the flight.
