SPAM PROBLEM
I had a nightmarish moment last night. I couldn’t sleep so I nestled down on my sofa and switched on my laptop computer. I checked my several emails accounts and found different messages and ads from different Chicago email marketing companies. I tried deleting them or asking them to unsubscribe, but minutes later even more spam poured into my inboxes. More and more came the more I tried deleting all of it I had no idea what to do so I just shut off my computer. Now I’m afraid just to go turn it on again. I have no idea what might happen. But I need to go and check my email. My parents are vacationing in Australia and said they’d be sending me an email. What if I got something from work? What if I actually get one of those coupons for the grocery store or the bookstore I go to? What if my ex-girlfriend writes me while she’s drunk and confesses to everything she did wrong and admits that she wants to get back together with me? See! I need my computer just as much as everyone else in the world does. But what am I supposed to do about this spam problem? Who do I ask if this is a virus or whatever it might be?
